The Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule is one of the steadiest sellers in Korea’s hydration-serum aisle. Since its August 2025 reformulation, the ampoule has picked up retail rankings at Olive Young and a fresh round of Korean blog reviews, especially around seasonal dryness.

It’s a simple product on paper: a watery hyaluronic acid ampoule in a 100 mL dropper bottle. The details of the formula, and of the brand’s claims, are worth a closer look.

Why It’s Getting Attention in Korea

Wellage is the skincare brand of HUGEL, a Korean biopharmaceutical company known mainly for its aesthetic injectables. The 100 mL ampoule launched in September 2020 as a large-size version of the hydrating ampoule from the brand’s One-Day Kit.

In August 2025, Wellage renewed the formula and introduced new ingredient technologies, which put the product back in Korean beauty news. According to Korean trade press, it went on to place third in the essence/serum category at the 2025 Olive Young Awards and ranked first in overall sales on Olive Young’s online mall in February 2026. The brand says cumulative sales have passed roughly 6.6 million units, a company figure rather than an independent one.

Olive Young also sells it in bundle sets, such as a two-pack of 75 mL bottles, which is one reason it shows up so often in Korean sale roundups.

What’s in the Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule

Wellage publishes the full ingredient list on its official Korean site. A few things stand out.

  • Sodium hyaluronate at 1,000 ppm. This is the main hyaluronic acid in the formula and the only one listed in a meaningful amount.
  • Several other forms of hyaluronic acid, including hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, and sodium acetylated hyaluronate. These are listed at trace levels, from parts per million down to parts per billion.
  • Panthenol, high on the list, right after the base humectants.
  • Adenosine, which is why the product is registered in Korea as a wrinkle-improvement functional cosmetic.
  • Sodium DNA, the ingredient-label name for PDRN, which appears well down the list.
  • Beta-glucan, saccharide isomerate, and wild yam root extract.

There is no fragrance or added colorant on the list.

Wellage frames the formula around its own branded ingredients. The brand says its “Real HA” hyaluronic acid goes through a three-step purification process, and it names three technologies on the current product page: an ultra-low-molecular hyaluronic acid it calls Hyal-Water, a “Cross HA Network,” and “HA SpeedDerm,” which it describes as helping hydration reach the skin faster. These are brand descriptions, not independently tested features.

What the Brand’s Test Numbers Say

When Wellage announced the 2025 renewal, it cited testing by a clinical testing institution. In that company-reported testing, the ampoule is said to deliver moisture through up to 30 layers of the skin’s surface and keep skin moisturized for up to 100 hours. Treat those numbers as supporting product information from the brand, not as an independent study or a guarantee of the same result for everyone.

Some Korean blog posts also repeat a specific molecular weight for the brand’s low-molecular hyaluronic acid. We couldn’t find that figure in Wellage’s published product information, so we’ve left it out.

How Korean Reviewers Use It

Korean reviewers describe a clear, very thin liquid that runs easily off the back of the hand and sinks in within seconds, without a tacky finish. Their routines are similar:

  • After cleansing and toner, before lotion or cream
  • One layer for oily or combination skin, especially in warm weather
  • Two or three thin layers for dry skin, patted in between each
  • A moisturizer soon after, rather than leaving the ampoule on its own for long
  • Under sunscreen and makeup in the morning, since the texture is light

Several reviewers wrote about using it in air-conditioned offices in summer and in dry seasonal weather, when skin can feel tight even if it looks fine. One of the Korean reviews we drew on was sponsored by the brand, so treat these impressions as an early read rather than neutral consumer feedback.

Who It May Suit — and Who Might Skip It

The ampoule may suit people who want a lightweight hydrating layer that sits easily under other products, and who prefer a fragrance-free formula. Its watery texture also makes it easy to adjust how much you use through the seasons.

If you want a high dose of PDRN or of several hyaluronic acid types, the ingredient list shows that most of those ingredients are present in small amounts. And if you prefer a thicker serum that feels moisturizing on its own, a watery ampoule like this one will likely need a cream on top.

What Stands Out — and What Remains Unproven

What stands out is easy to check: a fragrance-free, colorant-free formula with 1,000 ppm sodium hyaluronate and panthenol near the top of the list, a 100 mL bottle, and a strong retail track record in Korea.

What remains unproven is how much the branded technologies add in everyday use. The 30-layer and 100-hour figures come from company-reported testing, and the trace-level hyaluronic acids and PDRN shouldn’t be read as the main active ingredients. The formula is best understood as a well-made, affordable hydrating layer rather than a treatment.
